Izanami Large Group Event Reservations

For 8-20 guests
Make reservation for the party in OpenTable
- Check the shift overview: Izanami kitchen can accommodate approximately 12 guests every 15 minutes.
- If necessary, suggest alternate times to maintain this balance; changing a reservation by just 15 or 30 minutes will mitigate long wait times and improve the flow between servers and kitchen, leading to a better guest experience.
- Latest Reservations for lunch are 3:30PM; latest reservations for dinner are 9:00PM
In the Contact Information Field:
- Use the guest’s name and phone number
- Use izanamievents@tenthousandwaves.com as the official email. This will send an automatic email to the Izanami Events Coordinator, alerting them to the large group.
In the Visit Notes section, include the following information:
- Guest’s email
- Total number of guests, including number of children (if any)
- Reason for dining with us (e.g. birthday, anniversary, etc.)
- Note if CF or GT spa, including any relevant check in times.
- Special menu requested (for lunch, lunch pre-fixe, for dinner, omakase or dinner pre-fixe) and any dietary restrictions
- Mobility Issues/Seating Preference, but note that seating preferences are not guaranteed unless verified by an izanami manager. Seating options for large groups include: tatami, center tables, and enclosed patio.
Input Credit Card number with expiration date and CVV/CVC code into OpenTable to guarantee reservation.
Accept reservation by tapping the green check and selecting your name.
Double check reservation in OpenTable to ensure that credit card is valid by going to the reservation in OpenTable.
If booking within 2 weeks of reservation date, please inform guests that Izanami’s Events Coordinator will follow up within 72 hours to secure their date and time and finalize all details.
For large groups booking outside of 2 weeks of reservation date, izanami will confirm 1 week in advance.
Change and Cancellation Policy
Cancellations and changes to party size must be made at least 24 hours in advance.
If more than half the group cancels within 24 hours:
- For lunch (11:30-5:00), the cancellation fee is $25/person
- For dinner (5:00-10:00), the cancellation fee if $50/person
For changes to the party size (increase or decrease), make the change in OpenTable immediately. OpenTable will automatically send an email to Izanami so they can handle and conflicts or questions.
For additions of 4 or more guests within 48 hours, they must confirm availability with an izanami manager.
Group Meal Offerings
For lunch (11:30-5:00):
- We recommend the 3-course, pre-fixe menu at $35/person.
- Guests may also choose to order a la carte from the regular menu.
- Between 3:00-5:00, a la carte orders will be limited to the smaller, afternoon menu; guests are welcome to do the pre-fixe offering instead during that time.
For dinner (5:00-9:00)
Omakase is required for all groups of 8 or more to create the best guest experience.- Large omakase ($69/person): nightly omakase including several seafood selections that are not included on the regular menu.
- Dinner Pre-fixe: ($45/person): for those with dietary restrictions, we can offer the smaller, pre-fixe dinner menu.
- If guests refuse to do omakase, we can book them at 5PM or 9PM only.
As our izakaya-style plates are presented to the table as they are ready rather than as they are ordered, choosing items a la carte can create a poorly-paced dining experience. When guests choose the omakase, we can create the ideal flow for their evening, allowing everyone to dine and try different dishes at the same pace.
For 21 or more guests
Email izanamievents@tenthousandwaves.com with the Guest’s name, phone number, email, total number of guests, and preferred date and time of reservation. For groups of 21 or more, reservations must be made at least two weeks in advance and may only be coordinated through the izanami events coordinator.
